Matthew Rendle RVN, a veterinary nurse and ACOVENE board member, was a key speaker in the Veterinary Nursing stream. His lectures covered essential topics such as teamwork in veterinary nursing, fluid therapy, anaesthesia monitoring, clinical nutrition, and animal welfare in blood sampling. The sessions were well-attended, with approximately 50 delegates from 11 countries, including veterinary nurses, students, and veterinarians.
Matthew reported a high level of engagement from attendees, including numerous questions about ACOVENE’s role in veterinary nurse education and accreditation. As part of the session, he raffled three BSAVA Veterinary Nurse Pocket Books, which were enthusiastically received by the winners.
The strong interest in ACOVENE and the high turnout for the Veterinary Nursing stream reflect the increasing recognition of the importance of maintaining high standards in veterinary nursing across Europe. The EERVC continues to provide an excellent platform for veterinary professionals to exchange knowledge, discuss advancements, and strengthen their professional community.
